Practice Training Contract

Honorarium

At Incisive Law, all our trainees are remunerated competitively at market-leading rates for the excellent work that they do. Trainees will receive an honorarium of S$2,650 per month for the first six months of their training (the “First Six”) and up to S$3,000 per month for the second six months of their training (the “Second Six”). Performance bonus may also be awarded on a discretionary basis.

Training Program Structure

We have prepared a well-structured training programme to make you not just a good trainee but a great lawyer.

Our training programme satisfies the new requirements under the 1-year training contract regime. Expect to see plenty of pulse-racing legal action in your Advocate-Seat and high impact deals in your Solicitor-Seat.

On top of that, we offer opportunities for overseas work trip, secondment to our clients as well as secondment to our associated international firm, DAC Beachcroft, for promising candidates.

Supervisor and Buddy

From Day 1 of your training, you will work closely with your supervisor (a Director) and your buddy (an Associate or Senior Associate). They will be responsible for your professional growth and development with a view of grooming you into a great lawyer.

You will have regular appraisal meetings (every three months) with your Director as well as the Recruitment Directors to review your progress, to discuss any challenges encountered during your training and to set out training milestones.
