Training Contracts
We're on the lookout for law interns who'd like to get a taste of work and life in a boutique law firm with a view to a potential lawyer training contract with us. We select our trainees from those who complete an internship with us. That is so that potential trainees have a chance to get to know us and to see if we're in a position to help them grow their careers.
We are offering internships with a variety of durations and at different periods:
- a once-a-week internship where interns will work for the firm on an agreed weekday or two half weekdays each week;
- 2 to 3 week internships for Singapore law school students during the traditional May to August or December periods;
- 2 to 3 week internships for other law school students throughout the year.
We work with a combination of remote and face-to-face collaboration with our interns.
We are a boutique corporate and commercial law firm ranked among the top law firms for Corporate & M&A, Private Equity, Startups and Emerging Company deals in Singapore. We're active on corporate transactions and in-house counsel work. Our principal is ranked as a leading corporate lawyer in Singapore. You can read more about us on our website - www.fslaw-asia.com.
We have a work-life integration philosophy and a long-term remote working strategy. You can read more about this on our website - https://fslaw-asia.com/thoughts/work-life-integration/; and https://fslaw-asia.com/news/5-things-we-do-to-make-working-from-home-work-for-us/. Our team makes choices so that we are not consistently working long hours as in some firms.
We work best with colleagues who demonstrate integrity, energy and excellence with a can-do attitude and an instinct for frugal innovation. If you have entrepreneurial ambitions, you’ll find us a good fit. We have a preference for those with (or tracking towards) at least a 2:1/Second Upper Honours law degree.
If you'd like to consider an internship with us, please do submit your resume, a short cover letter telling us what you'd like to gain from your internship with us and a copy of your academic transcript.
