Chancery Law Corporation is a Singapore boutique law firm focused on dispute resolution and corporate finance, advising clients with business interests in Singapore and the region. Our disputes practice focuses on construction and engineering law and is led by a Senior Accredited Specialist (Building & Construction), Singapore Academy of Law.
The Training Seat
We are inviting applications for a Practice Trainee to commence training in 2027. The training seat is primarily in dispute resolution, with a focus on construction and engineering law. The trainee will work alongside construction specialists and a Senior Accredited Specialist, with a total of 60 years of experience in both domestic and international construction projects.
What Trainees Can Expect
- Exposure to all forms of dispute resolution but with a focus on construction and engineering disputes across litigation, arbitration, adjudication under the Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, and mediation.
- Development of skills in client care and management, drafting of letters and legal documents, and legal research, together with involvement in the management of cases.
- Learning the practical and ethical aspects of practising law.
- We recruit our trainees with a view to retention.
Who We Are Looking For
Applicants should be able to work independently, and be responsible and well-rounded, with a strong academic background. An interest in construction and engineering law will be an advantage. Applicants who have undergone an internship with us will have a distinct advantage.
