We are looking for talented, driven individuals with the right aptitude, skillset and aspirations to join our dynamic Corporate Advisory team and Litigation team.

1. Corporate Advisory (Salary range: S$7,000 to S$10,000)

We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced and competent associate/senior associate to join our Corporate Advisory team, with a sub-focus on global mobility, employment, technology and data protection law practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Global Mobility: Support the relevant partner on a diverse range of matters under the umbrella of global mobility, covering the movement of business, assets and human capital to providing advice on corporate restructuring and relocation of manpower (hiring, reassignment and termination).
• Technology and Data Protection: Support the relevant partner on selected technology services engagements, ranging from a review of contracts to advising on licensing and data protection law matters.
• Advisory and Drafting: Provide legal advice and draft, review and assist with negotiations on a wide array of corporate and commercial documentation (including but not limited to share sale and purchase agreements, asset sale agreements, shareholders’ agreement, joint venture agreements, equity subscription agreements, employment handbook, employment contracts, IT services agreements, and data sharing agreements).
• Transactional Work: Support the corporate partners on a diverse portfolio of domestic and cross-border transactions from inception to completion (which would cover the areas of Global Mobility, Technology and Data Protection).
• Due Diligence: Conduct thorough legal due diligence, identifying key risks and providing recommendations.
• Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research and provide clear, concise analysis on points of Singapore law and regulatory framework.
• Business Development: Actively participate in the firm’s business development initiatives, including client pitches, seminars and other business development activities.

Job Requirements

• Qualification: Qualified Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore. Admission to other reputable common law jurisdictions (e.g., UK, Australia, Hong Kong) would be considered.
• Experience: A proven track record of 2 to 5 years of PQE gained with a reputable law firm, with demonstrable expertise in:
  • Employment Law: Experience in handling employment law issues and matters, including drafting, negotiating, dealing with the relevant authorities (candidates with disputes resolution experience or interest in employment law will be considered).
  • Commercial Contracts: Strong exposure to drafting and negotiating various commercial agreements, particularly to technology contracts and data protection documents.
  • Corporate M&A: Experience in advising on and executing M&A transactions (buy-side and/or sell-side) (candidates without this experience will be considered if they have strong drafting and negotiation skills in commercial contracts).
  • General Corporate Advisory: Experience in advising on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and general corporate matters.

2. Litigation - Dispute Resolution (Salary Range: $6,500 - $10,000)

The teams (RAYMOND LYE and SUBRAMANIAN PILLAI) are regularly engaged in cross border commercial dispute resolution matters involving international clients and, in particular, in the Asia Pacific region.

Job Requirements

• Qualified Advocate and Solicitor of Singapore with 1 to 6 years of PQE with solid exposure in litigation and/or arbitration.
